        "content": "<p>PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi 5 Purwokerto\nrecorded hundreds of customer items left behind at stations or on trains\nduring the Eid transport period in 2026, with a total estimated value\nexceeding Rp110 million.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the 21-day Eid transport period in 2026 held from 11 to 31\nMarch, we secured 336 items recorded in the KAI Lost and Found system.\nThe overall estimated value of these items exceeds Rp110 million,\u201d said\nManager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 5 Purwokerto, M As\u2019ad\nHabibuddin, in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, on\nWednesday.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that various types of valuable items were secured,\nincluding mobile phones, wallets, bags, important documents, and other\npersonal belongings left in station areas or on trains.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the Lost and Found service is one form of KAI\u2019s\ncommitment to providing the best service to customers, particularly in\nensuring security and comfort during travel.<\/p>\n<p>Of the total items found, he said, the majority have been\nsuccessfully returned to their owners.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe success in securing and returning these items is a tangible\nmanifestation of KAI\u2019s commitment to delivering reliable service,\nespecially during the Eid transport period with very high travel\nintensity,\u201d he emphasised.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that all found items are recorded and secured by staff,\nand can be reclaimed by owners through a verification process in\naccordance with applicable regulations.<\/p>\n<p>He also urged customers to always ensure they have their carry-on\nitems before alighting from the train or leaving the station area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough carry-on items are the responsibility of each customer, KAI\ncontinues to strive to provide premium service by assisting in securing\nand returning lost items,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, he noted that announcer staff routinely remind customers\nto safeguard their belongings, both at the station and during the\njourney on the train.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that for customers who feel they have lost or left items\nbehind, reports can be submitted to conductors, station security staff,\nor through KAI\u2019s Contact Center 121, either by phone at 121 or WhatsApp\nat 081-122-233-121.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, Lost and Found services in the KAI Purwokerto\noperational area are available at several main stations, including\nPurwokerto Station, Kutoarjo Station, and Cilacap Station.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding passenger volume during the 11\u201331 March 2026 period, he\nsaid KAI Purwokerto served 959,963 train passengers, consisting of\n453,941 departing and 506,022 arriving at various stations in the\nregion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKAI Daop 5 Purwokerto will continue to enhance service quality,\nincluding optimising Lost and Found services, to provide a sense of\nsecurity and comfort for all customers,\u201d said As\u2019ad.<\/p>",
