        "content": "<p>PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Divisi Regional I Sumatera Utara\nserved 20,002 passengers over two days of Eid 2026 (Saturday and Sunday)\nto various destinations in North Sumatra. That figure consists of 10,123\npeople on Saturday (21\/3) and 9,879 on Sunday, said Acting Head of\nPublic Relations for KAI Division I North Sumatra, Anwar Yuli Prastyo,\nin Medan on Sunday. He also stated that on-time performance (OTP) is the\nmain key to rail services. Over the 12-day transport period, departure\nOTP reached 99.85 per cent, while arrival OTP was at 99.55 per cent.\nFrom the 22 daily trip schedules operated, the on-time rate from\ndeparture stations to destination stations runs very reliably. This\naligns with the commitment of KAI Division I North Sumatra to provide\nschedule certainty for the public who want to celebrate Eid 2026 in\ntheir hometowns, Anwar said. Data from KAI Division I North Sumatra\nshows that the KA Putri Deli service was the most popular, with a total\nof 47,383 customers. Anwar assessed that the combination of high trip\nfrequency, namely six times a day, and affordable ticket prices is the\nmain attraction for the people of North Sumatra. The KA Putri Deli has\nproven effective in accommodating public enthusiasm to go home safely\nand comfortably without road congestion issues, he said. Customer\nenthusiasm is predicted to remain high until the end of the joint leave\nperiod on 24 March 2026. Up to the 12th day of the Eid 2026 transport\nperiod, KAI Division I North Sumatra recorded ticket sales of 155,245\ntickets or about 64 per cent of the total 241,848 seats provided.
