        "content": "<p>PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi 9 Jember marked\nNational Children\u2019s Day by holding the KAI RailTech Robotics Competition\nin cooperation with Koding Akademi \u2013 Robotics and Coding Center at the\nGaruda Building of KAI Daop 9 Jember.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe event was attended by 20 participants from kindergarten through\nto junior secondary level, drawn from 10 schools \u2014 seven in Jember\nRegency and three from Banyuwangi Regency,\u201d said Cahyo Widiantoro,\nManager of Legal Affairs and Public Relations at PT KAI (Persero) Daop\n9, in Jember, East Java, on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Carrying the theme \u201cTrack the Future!\u201d, the event is a manifestation\nof KAI\u2019s commitment to supporting the development of the younger\ngeneration through creative, innovative and enjoyable technology-based\nlearning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the competition, participants programmed robots to complete\nvarious missions on tracks designed to resemble railway journeys across\nthe Daop 9 Jember area,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the robots had to move precisely through a number\nof points representing stations such as Jember, Banyuwangi Kota and\nKetapang.<\/p>\n<p>Through the simulation, participants not only learnt to construct\nprogramming logic but also honed systematic thinking, creativity,\nprecision and problem-solving skills in tackling each challenge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNational Children\u2019s Day is the right occasion for KAI to present a\nlearning space that can inspire children to become closer to the world\nof technology whilst also getting to know railways as a mode of\ntransport that continues to develop with the times,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Through the National Children\u2019s Day moment, he added, KAI wished to\npresent activities that are not merely entertaining but also provide\nmeaningful learning experiences for children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe KAI RailTech Robotics Competition serves as a platform to\ncultivate curiosity, creativity and interest in technology and\ninnovation, whilst introducing the world of railways through an\nenjoyable approach,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, technological developments in the transport sector\nrequire human resources who are adaptive, creative and capable of\nlogical thinking from an early age.<\/p>\n<p>For that reason, KAI continues its efforts to present various\neducational programmes capable of encouraging children\u2019s interest in\nScience, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s digital transformation demands that the younger generation\npossess logical thinking skills, creativity and adaptability to\ntechnological developments,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Through simulations using railway operations as a learning medium,\nchildren not only learn about robotics and coding but also gain an\nunderstanding of how technology supports transport services that are\nincreasingly safe, reliable and modern.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope the experience gained today can inspire the children to keep\nlearning, creating and innovating, because they are the ones who will\nbecome the next generation in delivering various technological advances\nin the future,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Cahyo expressed hope that similar activities can continue to be\ndeveloped as part of the company\u2019s commitment to supporting the\nimprovement of Indonesia\u2019s human resources so they are excellent,\ncreative and ready to face the era of digital transformation.<\/p>",
