        "content": "<p>Purwakarta (ANTARA) - PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung served 13,222 passengers\nduring the long weekend holiday momentum, which was followed by the\nnational holiday for the Islamic New Year 1448 Hijriah.<\/p>\n<p>KAI Daop 2 Bandung Public Relations Manager Kuswardojo, in a\nstatement received in Purwakarta, West Java, on Tuesday, said public\ninterest in using rail transport remains quite high.<\/p>\n<p>As of Tuesday afternoon, KAI Daop 2 Bandung recorded a total of\n13,222 passengers using trains departing from a number of stations in\nthe Daop 2 Bandung area.<\/p>\n<p>Cumulatively, during the weekend and Islamic New Year holiday period\nfrom Friday (12\/6) to Tuesday (16\/6), the number of passengers using\ntrains with initial departures from the Daop 2 Bandung area reached\n77,907 passengers.<\/p>\n<p>This figure exceeded the available seating capacity of 63,875 seats,\nresulting in an occupancy rate of 122 percent.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the high occupancy was possible due to the travel\npattern of passengers boarding and alighting at various intermediate\nstations. Thus, one seat could be utilised by more than one passenger on\ndifferent journey relations.<\/p>\n<p>He said Bandung Station and Kiaracondong Station remain the centres\nof passenger mobility in the Daop 2 Bandung area. On Tuesday, as of\nmidday, 4,849 passengers were recorded departing from Bandung Station\nand 2,359 passengers departing from Kiaracondong Station.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, during the period from Friday (12\/6) to Tuesday (16\/6),\nthe total passengers departing from Bandung Station reached 26,804\npassengers, while Kiaracondong Station served 13,827 passengers.<\/p>",
