        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Commuter has ensured the\nreadiness of transport services for the 2026 Eid holiday season across\nthe Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) region and\nsurrounding areas.<\/p>\n<p>Karina Amanda, Vice President Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter,\nstated that during this year\u2019s Eid transport period, KAI Commuter will\noperate 1,149 daily services in the Jabodetabek and Merak areas,\nincluding services to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKAI Commuter is providing transport capacity for 50,244,436\npassengers, or four per cent more capacity than last year,\u201d Karina said\nin Jakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>For Jabodetabek Commuter Line services, 1,065 daily journeys will be\noperated. With a total transport capacity reaching 47,059,996,\napproximately 18,972,445 passengers are predicted to use the Jabodetabek\nCommuter Line.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis figure represents a one per cent increase from passenger usage\nduring last year\u2019s Eid transport period,\u201d Karina stated.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond Jabodetabek, KAI Commuter is also optimising Basoetta Commuter\nLine and Merak Commuter Line services. Daily, 70 Basoetta Commuter Line\njourneys are available with a total transport capacity of 415,616, with\n145,963 passengers projected to travel to the airport for the homecoming\nexodus.<\/p>\n<p>KAI Commuter has also added supporting facilities, including portable\ntoilets at Bogor and Pasar Minggu stations, as well as waiting tents at\nBekasi, Bogor, Tangerang, Rangkasbitung, and Cilegon stations.<\/p>\n<p>For the Merak Commuter Line, which is integrated with Jabodetabek,\nKAI Commuter will operate 14 daily journeys and provide transport\ncapacity for 412,352 passengers, with projected ridership on this line\nreaching 299,259 passengers, or a one per cent increase from last\nyear.<\/p>\n<p>Starting 13-20 March 2026, KAI Commuter will adjust services, with\nMerak Commuter Line journeys only reaching Cilegon Station. Passengers\ndestined for Merak Station will be redirected to use alternative\ntransport at Cilegon Station.<\/p>\n<p>This service adjustment, also implemented in previous years, is\nundertaken to manage vehicle traffic that will cross through Merak and\nBakauheni Ferry Ports, particularly during peak travel conditions for\nthe 2026 Eid transport period.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, several Commuter Line stations have been integrated with\nvarious transport modes, including MRT, LRT Jabodetabek, TransJakarta\nbuses, and online transportation services. Passengers can also utilise\nthe Multi Trip Card (KMT) for payment transactions across all these\ntransport modes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKAI Commuter urges all passengers to always follow regulations\nduring travel, supervise children, follow staff instructions, and remain\nvigilant for the safety of all,\u201d Karina concluded.<\/p>",
