        "content": "<p>PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI Daerah Operasi 2 Bandung has\ncancelled all Siliwangi train journeys on Thursday, 23 April 2026, due\nto track erosion or gogosan on the railway line between the\nCibeber-Lampegan sections. \u201cWe express our gratitude for the patience\nand understanding of the affected customers. KAI is committed to\ncontinuously providing the best service and ensuring that train journeys\ncan resume safely and smoothly,\u201d said the Manager of Public Relations\nfor PT KAI Daerah Operasi 2 Bandung, as quoted from his statement on\nThursday, 23 April 2026. Kuswardojo stated that repairs to the eroded\nrailway tracks are still underway by reinforcing the supporting soil\nstructure that was eroded due to high water flow. \u201cKAI Daop 2 Bandung\ncontinues to optimise repair efforts at the erosion site by\nstrengthening the rail embankment through the addition of material to\nthe affected area. We target this repair process to be completed today,\u201d\nhe said. The erosion was reported to have occurred on Wednesday, 22\nApril 2026, in the Cibeber-Lampegan section at KM 73+9\/0. A similar\nincident had previously occurred in that section on 19 April 2026. The\nongoing repairs in that section were eroded again due to heavy rain that\nhit the Cianjur area on Wednesday, 22 April 2026. PT KAI Daerah Operasi\n2 Bandung immediately cancelled Siliwangi train journeys on Wednesday,\n22 April 2026, starting at 20:38 WIB. The Siliwangi train (345) on the\nCipatat-Sukabumi route that day was only operated up to Cibeber Station\nand did not continue to Sukabumi. Siliwangi train journeys for the\nThursday, 23 April 2026 schedule were also decided to be cancelled.
