        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) continues to\naccompany all customers and affected families from the incident at\nBekasi Timur Station until every stage of handling is complete.<\/p>\n<p>As of Monday (4\/5), 84 customers have returned home, while 17\ncustomers are still undergoing treatment at several hospitals. KAI\nensures that monitoring of customers\u2019 conditions is carried out\nregularly so that all handling needs can be met.<\/p>\n<p>KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication, Anne Purba, stated\nthat accompaniment is provided comprehensively, both for customers still\nunder treatment and those who have returned home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe continue to monitor the condition of customers still under\ntreatment and ensure that handling needs are met. For customers who have\nreturned home, we continue the accompaniment according to their needs,\u201d\nshe said.<\/p>\n<p>KAI also provides a claims or reimbursement mechanism for customers\nundergoing independent treatment. The required documents include proof\nof travel, customer identity, receipts and details of treatment costs,\nmedical summary, and a copy of the bank account. Once the documents are\ndeemed complete, the claims process will be coordinated with the\ninsurance party, with an estimated completion of no later than 21\nworking days.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the recovery process, trauma healing services are still\navailable for customers and families who need them. Applications can be\nmade through the Information Post at Bekasi Timur or the call centre at\n0812-9660-5747. Accompaniment can begin via telemedicine and continue in\nperson as needed.<\/p>\n<p>KAI is also continuing to handle customers\u2019 lost luggage from the\nincident. As of 4 May 2026 at 08:00 WIB, a total of 115 items have been\nfound. Of this number, 61 items have been returned to their owners,\nwhile 54 items are still awaiting collection.<\/p>\n<p>All items have been secured and recorded through the Lost and Found\nservice at Bekasi Timur Station. KAI urges customers, families, or\nrelatives who feel they have lost items to immediately visit the post\nfor verification and collection processes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKAI guarantees that every item is processed through careful\nverification so that it can be returned to the rightful owner.
