PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) and the Bogor City Government are\npreparing to redevelop the Bogor Station area as an integrated transport\nhub to improve comfort and increase mass transit service capacity.<\/p>\n
KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin said in Bogor on Thursday that\nthe redevelopment is part of the Bogor Station revitalisation plan being\ndiscussed with the local government. \u201cIn particular, we will revitalise\nBogor Station. Later, Bogor Station will be more comfortable, able to\naccommodate more passengers, and more beautiful,\u201d Bobby said.<\/p>\n
He explained that the Bogor Station redevelopment will cover several\naspects of passenger services, including the arrangement of passenger\ndrop-off and pick-up areas, public transport or feeder stops, and\nshuttle routes.<\/p>\n
According to Bobby, the development is expected to make Bogor more\niconic in providing mass transit facilities in the future.<\/p>\n
The railway service development discussion was held by KAI and the\nBogor City Government at Bogor City Hall on Thursday. In addition to the\nBogor Station revitalisation, both parties discussed integrating the\nstation area with the adjacent Bogor City Square.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe main focus is the redevelopment of the Bogor Station\u2013City Square\narea and the activation plan from Bogor to Cigombong,\u201d said Dedie.<\/p>\n
The Bogor City Government will support the provision of facilities\nand infrastructure to anticipate the railway service development. The\ncity government and KAI will also soon prepare a memorandum of\nunderstanding as the basis for collaboration on the redevelopment of the\nBogor Station and Bogor City Square areas.<\/p>\n
\u201cGod willing, we will arrange it better, more iconic, a pride of\nBogor City and Indonesia for a more comfortable transport future,\u201d Dedie\nsaid.<\/p>\n
