        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry\n(Kadin) is confident that the economic cooperation between Indonesia and\nSouth Korea (South Korea), valued at US$10.2 billion or Rp173 trillion,\ncan make a significant contribution to increasing the country\u2019s foreign\nexchange.<\/p>\n<p>Kadin Indonesia General Chairman Anindya Bakrie, in a statement\nreceived in Jakarta on Thursday, emphasised that South Korea is a\nstrategic partner for Indonesia, with economic relations that have\ncontinued to develop in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was reached at the Indonesia-Korea Business Forum held\nat the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday (1\/4), which\nresulted in 17 memoranda of understanding (MoUs).<\/p>\n<p>He assessed that the cooperation established through various\nagreements has great potential in driving foreign direct investment\n(FDI) flows while strengthening the national foreign exchange\nreserves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd this is a potential to increase foreign direct investment,\ncreate jobs, and of course increase trade that can bring in foreign\nexchange,\u201d said Anindya.<\/p>\n<p>He also highlighted the broad scope of collaboration between the two\ncountries, ranging from the industrial sector to the creative economy.\nHe mentioned the popularity of Korean culture in Indonesia as one\nconcrete example of the closeness of bilateral relations.<\/p>\n<p>The 17 MoUs agreed upon cover various strategic sectors, such as\nenergy, industrial manufacturing, downstreaming, and the digital\neconomy.
