Justice Party visits villages<\/p>\n
BOGOR, West Java: Local activists of the Justice Party (PK)
\nheld on Monday a \"door-to-door\" campaign in 19 villages in Tanah
\nSareal district, distributing flyers, holding bazaars and
\nproviding free medical services.<\/p>\n
\"Street rallies are not effective to get voters, they're only
\na show of might. Such convoys are watched by only 1 percent of a
\npopulation at the most,\" said Jalaludin Prawira, the secretary of
\nthe local PK branch.<\/p>\n
The public services were held in Kencana, Tanah Saerah and
\nTegal Gandil.<\/p>\n
In the same city, supporters of the United Development Party
\n(PPP), the National Mandate Party (PAN), PSII-1905, the Justice
\nand Unity Party (PKP) and the Muslim Community Awakening Party
\n(PKU) held street rallies on Monday.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, it was reported on Monday that 30 percent of the
\ntotal 2,460 public transportation vehicles did not operate during
\nthe first six days of campaigning.<\/p>\n
\"The drivers and owners were afraid that unrest would break
\nout and their vehicles damaged,\" said an official from the public
