Justice minister to review legislation<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Minister of Justice and Human Rights Hamid Awaluddin
\nsaid on Thursday he would review a number of regulations and
\npieces of legislation that the business community had been
\ncomplaining about.<\/p>\n
\"Economic recovery is the most important thing. Therefore, the
\nreview of regulations and legislation relating to the economy is
\na priority,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Hamid said he had talked to members of the Indonesian Chambers
\nof Commerce regarding his plan. But, he required more information
\nfrom businesspeople as to which regulations and laws they
\nconsidered harmful to business.<\/p>\n
However, Hamid said he would also take into account the
\ninterests of the general public.<\/p>\n
The tourism industry has been complaining about a presidential
\ndecree that revoked visa-free facilities for people of most
