The investigation team\nhas assured that the probe into the alleged corruption in the governance\nof the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme does not depend on a single\nstatement.<\/p>\n<p>The Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for\nSpecial Crimes (Dirdik Jampidsus), Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, explained\nthat the legal evidentiary construct being built relies on the strength\nof various types of evidence. \u201cWe have a lot of evidence, including\nwitness statements, electronic evidence, documentary evidence, and\nexpert testimony,\u201d Syarief stated at the AGO Round Building in Jakarta\non Tuesday (23\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>This affirmation was made in response to concerns about the potential\nsilence of the former Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency\n(BGN). Before his JC status was denied, Sony Sonjaya frequently leaked\nvarious pieces of information and disclosures to the media regarding a\nnumber of prominent figures suspected of being implicated in the\nmismanagement of the MBG budget.<\/p>\n<p>Syarief underscored that determining a person\u2019s legal status,\nincluding efforts to expand the case towards broader actors, is\nconducted through a comprehensive evidence review process, not based on\nopinion or a unilateral admission from a suspect. \u201cWe do not depend on\nthe testimony of just one person. We designate a suspect or open this\ncase further based on the evidence we continue to seek, which is still\nongoing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Sony Sonjaya, who is a suspect in the alleged corruption\ncase of the Free Nutritious Meals programme, formally applied to become\na cooperating witness or justice collaborator. This was confirmed\ndirectly by Sony\u2019s legal counsel, Krisna Murti. Krisna stated that his\nclient had submitted a number of names involved in the MBG corruption.\nDuring an examination on Thursday (18\/6), the number of names submitted\nby his client to investigators increased from 26 figures to 41. Krisna\nexplained the addition was due to individuals requesting allocations of\nNutritional Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) points for parties affiliated\nwith them.<\/p>",
