        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Ecology Network (PENA) assesses\nthat Jumhur Hidayat, appointed by President Prabowo as Minister of\nEnvironment, is capable of strengthening the direction of national\nenvironmental policies amid increasingly complex ecological crises. \u201cThe\ninauguration of Jumhur Hidayat represents an important momentum in\nstrengthening the direction of national environmental policies,\u201d stated\nPENA General Chairman Laurencus Pakpahan in Jakarta on Wednesday. He\nviews Jumhur as a figure with a long track record in social movements\nand grassroots advocacy, given his extensive experience as a student\nactivist and labour leader. \u201cThis gives him a strong social sensitivity\nin addressing environmental issues that directly intersect with people\u2019s\nlives,\u201d Laurencus said. He noted that Jumhur Hidayat is a movement\nactivist who has long been involved in social struggles since his\nstudent days, including the reform movement and advocacy for small\ncommunity groups. According to him, Jumhur has led a national labour\norganisation and has government experience, making him capable of\nbridging environmental interests with economic aspects and public\nwelfare.
