        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Judicial Commission (KY) chairman Abdul Chair\nRamadhan said the decision on ethics proceedings related to the case\ninvolving a Depok District Court (PN Depok) judge would be determined by\nthe outcome of a KY plenary session.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, the decision will come from the results of the KY plenary\nsession,\u201d he said in a doorstop interview at the KPK building in Jakarta\non Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Abdul stated that the plenary session concerning the ethics\nexamination would reveal the truth about the case involving the judge at\nthe Depok District Court.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe what and how of the examination results will be revealed in due\ncourse,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Abdul disclosed that plenary session verdicts are divided into three\ntiers: mild, moderate, and severe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are three tiers for the decision: mild, moderate, and severe.\nThe severe category means dishonourable dismissal \u2014 that is the heaviest\nsanction,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Abdul explained that the KY\u2019s ethics examination proceeds through\nseveral stages, namely identifying those who knew about, heard about,\nand directly experienced any misconduct by the judges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a standard examination. The examination covers the judge who\nin this case has become a suspect, as well as witnesses who knew about,\nheard about, and directly experienced the transactional practices in\nquestion,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cAll of this becomes evidence to be used in determining\nthe sanction to be imposed on the individual concerned, based on the\navailable evidence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Previously, on 5 February 2026, the Corruption Eradication Commission\n(KPK) conducted a sting operation targeting a judge in the Depok area,\nWest Java. The KPK explained that the operation was related to alleged\ncorruption in the handling of a land dispute case.<\/p>\n<p>On 6 February 2026, the KPK revealed it had arrested seven\nindividuals in the operation, comprising the chief and deputy chief of\nthe Depok District Court, one other person from the court, as well as a\ndirector and three employees of PT Karabha Digdaya, a subsidiary of the\nMinistry of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>The KPK subsequently named five of the seven individuals as suspects\nin the alleged corruption case related to the receipt of payments or\npromises in connection with a land dispute within the Depok District\nCourt\u2019s jurisdiction, involving a 6,500-square-metre plot of land in\nTapos sub-district.<\/p>\n<p>They are Depok District Court chief I Wayan Eka Mariarta (EKA),\ndeputy chief Bambang Setyawan (BBG), court bailiff Yohansyah Maruanaya\n(YOH), Karabha Digdaya president director Trisnadi Yulrisman (TRI), and\nKarabha Digdaya head of corporate legal Berliana Tri Kusuma (BER).<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the KPK named Bambang as a suspect in an alleged\ngratification case after receiving data from the Financial Transaction\nReports and Analysis Centre (PPATK) concerning the receipt of Rp2.5\nbillion from PT Daha Mulia Valasindo.<\/p>",
