        "content": "<p>Nine flights experienced delays, including Lion Air services on the\nSurabaya\u2013Palangkaraya, Surabaya\u2013Pekanbaru, Surabaya\u2013Balikpapan and\nSurabaya\u2013Manado routes, Super Airjet\u2019s Surabaya\u2013Lombok Praya service,\naccording to General Manager of Juanda International Airport Muhammad\nTohir when confirmed by ANTARA in Sidoarjo on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Tohir further stated that Lion Air\u2019s Surabaya\u2013Banjarmasin and\nSurabaya\u2013Makassar flights, Batik Air\u2019s Surabaya\u2013Halim Perdanakusuma\nservice, and Super Airjet\u2019s Surabaya\u2013Pontianak flight also experienced\ndelays.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, several incoming flights to Surabaya were forced to divert\nto other airports due to weather conditions in the Juanda area. Diverted\nflights included Citilink\u2019s Banjarmasin\u2013Surabaya service, which was\nredirected to Semarang; Malaysia Airlines\u2019 Kuala Lumpur\u2013Surabaya\nservice, diverted to Bali; Super Airjet\u2019s Samarinda\u2013Surabaya flight,\nredirected to Semarang; and Lion Air\u2019s Ambon\u2013Surabaya service, also\ndiverted to Semarang.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, two flights returned to base (RTB) at Juanda Airport:\nLion Air\u2019s Surabaya\u2013Pekanbaru flight and AirAsia\u2019s Surabaya\u2013Makassar\nservice.<\/p>\n<p>Tohir explained that the incident caused several trees to fall in the\nairport\u2019s cargo terminal area, and one toll gate within the airport\nperimeter sustained damage after being struck by a tree.
