JSX photo display<\/p>\n
We are referring to the article published in the \"Focus on
\nJakarta\" column of The Jakarta Post, Aug. 2, 1995 concerning
\ncomments made by a number of artists represented by Adi Kurdi.<\/p>\n
The committee of the Photo Exhibition of the 1995 Stock
\nExchange wishes to give the following comments:<\/p>\n
In organizing the exhibition, there was no intention of
\ninsulting the national flag of our country. Our design did not
\ndepict a national flag standing on its own but rather a
\ntraditional banner in which the red and white colors were
\narranged to form a unity, with the writing: 50 years Indonesia
\nand 18 years Jakarta Stock Exchange. This only displayed artistic
\ncreativity. However, if there is any party which regarded it a
\nflag we would like to take this opportunity to apologize.<\/p>\n
As a consequence, we discarded the red and white colors,
\nleaving only the blue color in the form of a trapezium with the
\nwords Pameran foto (Photo display) written on it. The banner is
\nthree meters high. We thank you for your attention and comments.<\/p>\n
