A big tragedy for Megawati<\/p>\n
Malaysia has suspended deportation of the Philippines' illegal
\nmigrants workers after a deal was reached between Malaysian Prime
\nMinister Mahathir Mohamad and President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.<\/p>\n
Reports said that Arroyo called Mahathir last Friday saying
\nthat a team would be dispatched to Malaysia to find out the
\nPhilippines' workers condition at the detention center in
\nMalaysia before they were sent home. Dialog and bargain between
\nManila and Kuala Lumpur has been fruitful.<\/p>\n
Anti-Malaysia demonstrations have taken place in the
\nPhilippines with the burning of Malaysian flags after the death
\nof several infants.<\/p>\n
Illegal workers expulsion from Malaysia has become a regional
\nissue. This is a matter of economy and law among the people of
\nSoutheast Asia.<\/p>\n
Arroyo stated that she visited Tawi-Tawi where Philippines
\nillegal workers expelled from state of Sabah were concentrated.
\nShe told Filipinos that it time to fight for humanity.<\/p>\n
Arroyo has witnessed how the real suffering of her fellow
\nFilipinos expelled from Sabah, and she described it as a big
\ntragedy.<\/p>\n
President Megawati Soekarnoputri has never done what Arroyo
\ndid to console expelled illegal workers. Megawati has not even
\nmade any statements on that issue.<\/p>\n
