JAKARTA: Minister of Foreign Affairs Hassan Wirayuda
\nreiterated here on Saturday Indonesia's call for Singapore to
\nagree on an extradition treaty that would enable it to extradite
\naccused Indonesian criminals to Jakarta.<\/p>\n
He accused Singapore of not cooperating with Indonesia in its
\nefforts to forge an extradition treaty between the neighboring
\ncountries.<\/p>\n
Numerous Indonesians accused of corruption have reportedly
\nfled to Singapore to avoid being brought to justice.<\/p>\n
\"We want to speed up the process, but just meeting (with
\nSingaporean authorities) is not easy. Negotiations with Singapore
\non a memorandum of understanding are more difficult than with
\nother countries,\" Hassan said during a dialog with 500 students

JAKARTA: Hundreds of youths announced on Saturday the
\nestablishment of a group called Angkatan Muda Demokrat to support
\nthe campaign presidential candidate Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.<\/p>\n
However, during a ceremony at Balai Sarbini in South Jakarta,
\nthe new group's chairman, Yasulipar Sinaga, was unable to provide
\nany details on how the youth group planned to help Susilo and his
\nrunning mate Jusuf Kalla.<\/p>\n
Subur Budisantoso, who chairs the Democratic Party that
\nnominated Susilo, attended the event, which featured a dangdut

CIREBON, West Java: Communications minister Agum Gumelar said
\non Saturday he has had difficulty securing a meeting with
\nPresident Megawati Soekarnoputri since agreeing to be Hamzah
\nHaz's vice presidential candidate in the July 5 presidential
\nelection.<\/p>\n
He said earlier that he wanted to quit the Cabinet after being
\nselected as the running mate for presidential candidate Hamzah
\nHaz. However, he has yet to tender his resignation to Megawati.<\/p>\n
\"Up to now, I have not met (with the President) because she is
\nvery busy. I do not feel it is a political matter, rather it is a
\ntechnical one,\" Agum said.<\/p>\n
Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who is now the presidential
\ncandidate for the Democratic Party, had difficulty setting up a
\nmeeting with Megawati when he wanted to resign as the chief
