        "content": "<p>JP\/4\/Scene1<\/p>\n<p>IPB wants people<br>\nto eat fruit<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The Bogor Agriculture Institute (IPB) is teaming up <br>\nwith the Ministry of Agriculture's directorate general of  <br>\nhorticulture to launch a national movement for fruit and <br>\nvegetable consumption in a bid to promote a healthier diets.<\/p>\n<p>IPB rector Ahmad Ansori Matjjik said on Wednesday that such a <br>\ncampaign was important as many people now have a consumption <br>\npattern, which relies heavily on \"processed food.\"<\/p>\n<p>The plan was discussed during a meeting with government <br>\nofficials at the university's campus in Bogor, West Java.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmad added that the national movement would also help promote <br>\nthe consumption of locally produced fruit and vegetables. -- <br>\nAntara<\/p>\n<p>;JP;<br>\nANPAa..r..<br>\nScene-nurdin-halid<\/p>\n<p>JP\/4\/Scene<\/p>\n<p>Nurdin faces new<br>\ngraft charges<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Prosecutors demanded that Nurdin Halid, the chairman <br>\nof state-owned cooperatives association Inkud, be imprisoned for <br>\neight years on corruption charges involving illegal importation <br>\nof rice.<\/p>\n<p>The first hearing on the case was held at the North Jakarta <br>\nDistrict Court on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Two other Inkud senior officials including president director <br>\nKhiruddin Nur and manager Achmad Subadio Lamo were also named <br>\nsuspects.<\/p>\n<p>The case centers on the import of some 59,100 tons of rice <br>\nvalued at Rp 40 billion (US$2.25 million) from Vietnam in 2003 by <br>\nInkud and its partner, a private company called PT Hexatama <br>\nFinindo.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors charged that Inkud and Hexatama had violated <br>\ncustoms regulations and did not pay any import duty fees for the <br>\nrice.<\/p>\n<p>Nurdin is also facing another court case, for his alleged role <br>\nin the illegal importation of sugar. -- JP<\/p>",
