Very few people understand that despite their <br>\ndisability, blind people are just as smart and skilled as any <br>\nnormal human being.<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta Archdiocese' Lembaga Daya Dharma (LDD) Foundation has <br>\nestablished an institution called Biro Tunanetra Laetitia, which <br>\nhelps the blind to live and interact with society.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1992, Biro's activities weigh on empowering, <br>\nrehabilitation (mental, social, medical etc.), charity and <br>\nboosting confidence so the blind are ready to interact with <br>\nothers.<\/p>\n<p>Biro has attracted many members, not just Catholic, and hand <br>\nin hand, they follow all the activities together, except for <br>\nreligious activities.<\/p>\n<p>Many volunteers have also joined Biro, contributing their <br>\ntime, energy and money to help the blind increase their <br>\nindependence and welfare.<\/p>",
