BEKASI: The police will soon submit the case against AF, who
\nallegedly raped his daughter, a minor, to the prosecutors, an
\nofficer said on Friday.<\/p>\n
Bekasi Police chief Adj. Comr. Suwondo Nainggolan said that
\nthe suspect faces a maximum punishment of nine years in prison as
\nstipulated in Article 294 of the Criminal Code on child
\nprotection.<\/p>\n
Angry neighbors brought AF and his wife to the police earlier
\nthis month after the girl told them what had happened. AF told
\nthe police that his wife helped him to rape their own daughter on
\ntwo occasions.<\/p>\n
Suwondo said that the wife would also be charged in the case.<\/p>\n
\"Religious figures should hold talks and read the Koran at
\nleast once a week for the residents ... It might prevent similar

BOGOR: The police arrested Nurdin Sulaeman, 35, late on
\nWednesday for selling six kilograms of marijuana, a police
\nofficer revealed on Friday.<\/p>\n
\"It is suspected the suspect is a member of a syndicate
\nexporting marijuana from Aceh to Bogor,\" head of the community
\nmonitoring unit at the Bogor City Police, Comr. Hartono, was
\nquoted as saying by Tempointeraktif.com.<\/p>\n
Head of the narcotics division, Adj. Comr. Nur Ichsan added
\nthat the police also found another four kilograms of marijuana in
\nNurdin's rented house in Parung.<\/p>\n
The police shot Nurdin in the leg for resisting arrest, Ichsan
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
He revealed that the suspect sold the drugs for Rp 1.5 million
\nper kilogram.<\/p>\n
Nurdin claimed that he needed money to pay installments on his
\nmotorcycle and medical treatment for his brother who was injured

JAKARTA: The customs office in Tanjung Priok port has seized
\n20 containers allegedly containing hazardous waste sent from the
\nNetherlands.<\/p>\n
Head of the Jakarta customs office's prevention and
\ninvestigation unit, G.H. Suteja, said over the weekend that all
\nthe containers were now stored in the Jakarta International
\nContainer Terminal, Tempointeraktif.com reported.<\/p>\n
\"We have sealed all the containers,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Refusing to reveal the content of the containers, Suteja said
\nthat the travel document of the containers stated it contained
\nused paper.<\/p>\n
The containers will be opened on Monday during a site check by

JAKARTA: The Senen commercial district in Central Jakarta has
\nthe highest incidence of crimes committed in the municipality as
\nthe police said 20 percent of all crimes recorded were committed
\nin the area.<\/p>\n
Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Tjiptono said on Saturday
\nthat the other crime-prone areas were Tanah Abang, Roxi, the
\nNational Monument (Monas) park and Kemayoran.<\/p>\n
\"Senen is a pickpockets and hoodlums' haven,\" he said, adding
\nthat Senen also frequently experienced brawls, murder and
\nrobbery.<\/p>\n
Senen Police chief Adj. Comr. Eddy Haryanto said that the
\npolice would carry out shock therapy against criminals operating
\nin Senen. He did not elaborate.<\/p>\n
Eddy added that the police would also construct two more
\npolice posts in the commercial district. Currently there are
