        "content": "<p>Journalist's attackers arrested<\/p>\n<p>DILI, East Timor: Police have arrested four of the five people<br>\nsuspected of beating up Gaudensius Mau, a journalist from the<br>\nJakarta-based Tiras weekly and Suara Timor Timur daily, a report<br>\nsaid yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Chief of East Timor police Col. Yusuf Muchram said police<br>\nfirst arrested two suspects. Working on the tip from the two,<br>\npolice then arrested another two suspects, whose identities<br>\nMuchram refused to divulge.<\/p>\n<p>Police had said earlier that eight people attacked the<br>\nreporter.<\/p>\n<p>Muchram said the four suspects have admitted to attacking Mau<br>\non Nov. 17 because the tone of voice he used to ask them a<br>\nquestion offended them.<\/p>\n<p>Mau is being treated in Dili General Hospital and is still<br>\nunable to speak to police.<\/p>\n<p>Muchram was quoted by Antara as saying that if the victim's<br>\nhealth improved, police would cross-check his account of the<br>\nattack with that of the attackers.
