Igor Dirgantara, a political analyst and Executive Director of Survei\ndan Polling Indonesia (SPIN), stated that Jokowi\u2019s electoral strength\nremains a consideration because it can attract votes for those close to\nhim. \u2018Jokowi\u2019s voter base is an important factor in the political\ncompetition heading towards the 2029 elections, particularly in Java.\nThis means that even though Jokowi no longer has power, he is still\nconsidered to have influence, especially as a vote-getter for PSI and of\ncourse Gibran in the 2029 election,\u2019 he said when contacted on Monday\n(29\/6).<\/p>\n
According to him, this influence is also inseparable from the\ncharacter of Indonesian voters, who still have a relatively low level of\nloyalty to political parties. \u2018Moreover, party ID in the context of\nIndonesian elections is still very low, around 10-20 percent,\u2019 he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Igor assessed that Jokowi\u2019s political safari is related to the\npolitical needs of those closest to him.
