        "content": "<p>Joko can reach World Cup semifinals<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia's shuttlers Joko Suprianto and<br>\nHariyanto Arbi have a good chance of making it into the<br>\nsemifinals of the 1997 Sanyo World Cup Badminton Championship in<br>\nYogyakarta next week.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the groupings, Susi Susanti and Mia Audina will also<br>\nhave a good chance of reaching the semifinals.<\/p>\n<p>Joko is in the men's singles Group B with Chinese Lou Yigang,<br>\nThomas Johanson of Sweden and unseeded Gopi Chand of India.<\/p>\n<p>Hariyanto, nickname Hari, will only face a tough challenge<br>\nfrom Ong Ewe Hock of Malaysia in Group D. Hari will also meet<br>\nDarren Hall of England and Hwang Sun-ho of South Korea.<\/p>\n<p>Coach Indra Gunawan said Thursday that Joko and Hari would be<br>\nable to overcome the contenders in their groups.<\/p>\n<p>Old hand Ardy Wiranata, the 1997 Indonesia Open champion, will<br>\nmeet Sun Jun of China, Tam Kai Chuen of Hong Kong and Soren B.<br>\nNielsen of Denmark.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia's young hope Indra Wijaya will have a slim chance of<br>\nmaking it to the semifinals because he has to meet defending<br>\nchampion Dong Jiong of China in Group A. Indra will also have to<br>\nmeet Jeroen van Dijk of the Netherlands and Martin Lundgaard<br>\nHansen of Denmark.<\/p>\n<p>In the women's singles, defending champion Susi will only face<br>\na tough challenge from Wang Chen of China in Group D.
