        "content": "<p>A joint SAR team comprising personnel from the Merauke SAR Office,\nKodaeral XI, and the Merauke Police Water Unit, assisted by the crew of\nthe KM Lyly 03, is conducting an intensive search for a resident named\nAbdul Rozak (29) who was reported to have fallen and been swept away by\nthe current of the Maro River in Merauke, South Papua. The Head of\nMerauke SAR, Rudi, explained that the incident occurred in the early\nhours of Monday (6\/7\/2026) at around 01.30 WIT. Based on the report\nreceived, the victim fell whilst heading to a toilet belonging to a\nresident named Hengki, located on the banks of the Maro River. \u201cThe\nvictim was last seen wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt and shorts,\u201d Rudi\nstated in Merauke on Monday. Immediately after receiving the report, the\njoint SAR team of 10 personnel was deployed to the scene. The location\nis at coordinates 8\u00b027\u201949.45\u201dS - 140\u00b025\u201914.94\u201dE, approximately 6.30 km\nnorth of the Merauke SAR Office, with an estimated travel time of 25\nminutes. In this search operation, the SAR team deployed various\nadvanced equipment to maximise the sweep, both on the water\u2019s surface\nand from the air. Regarding field conditions, the weather in the search\narea was reported as sunny and cloudy with localised rain. Wind movement\nwas observed from the east to southeast at speeds ranging from 8 to 25\nkm\/h. Rudi also requested the active participation of local residents\nand water transport users. \u201cThe SAR team urges the public and ship crews\npassing around the Maro River to immediately inform officers if they see\nany signs of the victim\u2019s whereabouts,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>",
