        "content": "<p>A joint team from the Mount Rinjani National Park (TNGR) has\nevacuated a ritual climber who suffered a fatal accident on the Torean\nroute of Mount Rinjani, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The victim,\nidentified by the initials GA (17) from Mataram, was estimated to have\nfallen into a ravine approximately 100 metres deep and was presumed dead\nupon discovery. According to TNGR Head of Administration Astekita Ardi,\nthe victim was registered as a ritual climber and began the ascent on 26\nJuly 2026 via the Dusun Senange route in Sambik Elen Village, North\nLombok Regency. The incident was reported on Monday, 27 July 2026, at\n19:05 Wita. Communication with the victim\u2019s companion indicated the fall\noccurred above the Kebun Jeruk shelter before Banyu Urip. The companion\nreported that the victim could be reached without ropes, had suffered\nfractures in several parts of the body, and showed no signs of movement.\nA joint SAR team deployed with rescue equipment to the Torean entry\npoint and successfully lifted the victim from the fall site to the Kebun\nJeruk shelter. The body was then brought down to the Torean entry point\non Tuesday, 28 July 2026, and subsequently transported to Senaru\nCommunity Health Centre before being handed over to the family. The\nfamily then took the deceased to a funeral home in Cakranegara. The\nMount Rinjani National Park Office expressed appreciation for the prompt\ncollaboration of the joint SAR team, which included Basarnas Mataram,\nthe Indonesian National Armed Forces and Police, Asuransi Syariah Kita\nBisa (EMHC), the East Lombok SAR Unit, and volunteers.
