        "content": "<p>Pandeglang, Banten - The search and rescue (SAR) operation for a\ngroup of journalists and the crew of the speedboat KM Arupadatu I, which\nlost contact in the waters of the Sunda Strait, has been officially\nhalted after lasting 10 days.<\/p>\n<p>The conclusion of the joint SAR operation was officially announced by\nthe Governor of Banten, Andra Soni, during a press conference at the\nJoint SAR Main Post, Marina Carita Pier, Pandeglang Regency, Banten, on\nThursday evening.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs it is no longer effective, it is with a heavy heart that the\nimplementation of this joint operation is declared ceased,\u201d he\nstated.<\/p>\n<p>Andra explained that throughout the operation, the joint SAR team\ngenerally found no signs of the victims or the ship\u2019s crew across all\nsearched sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the SAR team had discovered 13 floating objects in the\nsea during the operation. However, he added, after verification by the\nBanten Regional Police Water and Air Police Unit (Ditpolairud Polda\nBanten), it was confirmed that none were connected to the physical\nstructure or equipment of the KM Arupadatu I.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, the local government and Basarnas (National Search and\nRescue Agency) have ensured that search and evacuation operations can be\nreopened at any time should new clues or confirmed reports from the\npublic emerge.<\/p>\n<p>The Governor of Banten also expressed his highest gratitude and\nappreciation to all members of the joint SAR team and the press members\nwho continued to monitor the news and the implementation of this\nhumanitarian operation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHopefully, we will receive information that we can follow up on. My\nthanks to our media colleagues who have continued to assist this\noperation over the past 10 days,\u201d he said, before concluding the press\nconference.<\/p>",
