Joint personnel from Nabire Police District and the Damai Cartenz\nTask Force-2026 seized one bladed weapon during patrols and vehicle\nraids at various crime-prone locations in Nabire City, Central Papua, on\nThursday evening (28 May 2026).<\/p>\n
Inspector General of Police Faizal Ramadhani, Head of the Damai\nCartenz-2026 Operation, stated that routine patrols and raids form part\nof efforts to prevent potential security disturbances.<\/p>\n
Patrols and raids began around 9:00 PM WIT targeting the prevention\nof muggings, possession of bladed weapons, and other criminal activities\nthat could threaten public safety at night.<\/p>\n
Joint personnel conducted checks on two- and four-wheeled vehicles\npassing through strategic points in Nabire City.<\/p>\n
Faizal said the presence of security personnel on the ground is\nintended to protect the public and restrict criminals\u2019 movements.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe presence of personnel on the ground is expected to provide\npublic protection and limit criminals\u2019 movements that could disrupt\npublic order and security,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe continue to prioritise preventive measures through joint patrols\nand raids. In addition to preventing criminal acts, these activities aim\nto foster a sense of safety and enhance public trust in security\npersonnel who are there to serve and protect,\u201d said Adarma.<\/p>\n
