Joint personnel from the Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South
Thousand Islands District, together with related agencies, have taken
action against residents’ boats moored in inappropriate locations. The
move was taken to maintain order in the coastal area and support the
safety of shipping activities in the region. The operation involved a
combined team comprising Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) officers from
Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, Public Infrastructure and Facilities
(PPSU) personnel, representatives from the Transport Agency, and
representatives from the Food Security, Marine and Agriculture (KPKP)
Sub-agency. The enforcement was carried out as an effort to ensure
orderly placement of residents’ vessels and to keep the coastal area and
public facilities properly arranged. According to field observations,
there were five boats not in their proper places. We, together with the
relevant elements, carried out persuasive rearrangement and relocation
so that the coastal area remains orderly and community activities can
run safely and comfortably. Officers also moved a vessel that was
previously in front of SDN Pulau Untung Jawa 01 to the docking area at a
site belonging to the Transport Agency. We appreciate the cooperation of
all parties, including the boat owners who were cooperative during the
arrangement process. This activity will continue to be carried out
periodically to maintain order in the coastal environment of Untung Jawa
Island. On the same occasion, a member of the Satpol PP Task Force for
Untung Jawa Island Urban Village revealed that the operation emphasised
a humane approach and intensive coordination with the boat owners. We
conducted data collection, issued appeals, and accompanied the boat
relocation process to ensure it was orderly and smooth. Alhamdulillah,
the entire process was carried out well thanks to community support and
cross-agency collaboration.
",
