Social security is crucial for society, particularly in providing\nhealth protection. The presence of health insurance programmes is\nexpected to offer peace of mind and certainty to the public when facing\nillnesses requiring medical treatment.<\/p>\n
This is no exception for Yunita (37), a housewife and participant in\nthe National Health Insurance (JKN) under the Non-Wage-Earning Workers\nsegment (PBPU), registered by the Aceh Regional Government through the\nAceh Health Insurance (JKA) programme. Yunita had to accompany her young\nchild undergoing inpatient treatment at Cempaka Lima General Hospital in\nBanda Aceh.<\/p>\n
Yunita explained her child\u2019s health condition, which required\nintensive hospital care. She revealed that initially, the child suffered\nfrom fever, cough, and flu that worsened, making home treatment\nimpossible.<\/p>\n
\u201cInitially, my child had fever, cough, and flu that necessitated\ninpatient care because it was no longer feasible to treat at home.\nFortunately, I was registered by the Aceh Government into the JKN\nprogramme through JKA, so I don\u2019t have to worry about costs. Especially\nsince my child has been treated for three days; without BPJS Kesehatan,\nI wouldn\u2019t be able to afford this treatment,\u201d said Yunita in a written\nstatement on Monday (13\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
Yunita shared this on Wednesday (24\/12\/2025). She explained that she\nand her family have always utilised the JKN programme when accessing\nhealthcare services.<\/p>\n
Not only for her child\u2019s illness, Yunita also used JKN during her\nchildbirth process. According to her, the JKN programme is very helpful\nbecause all treatment costs are covered by the government, so she does\nnot need to incur additional expenses.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am very grateful that my child\u2019s treatment is covered by the Aceh\nGovernment, and I also thank BPJS Kesehatan for providing free services\nthat reduce our burden in seeking treatment,\u201d said Yunita.<\/p>\n
From the service perspective, Yunita assessed that the healthcare\nservices she received proceeded well without significant obstacles. The\nservices provided by doctors and nurses at the hospital were\nsatisfactory and responsive in meeting patient needs.<\/p>\n
This made Yunita feel more at ease and motivated in accompanying her\nchild during the treatment period.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe services here are excellent because everything is facilitated.\nFrom the doctors and nurses at this hospital, they are very kind,\nprompt, and quick in meeting patient needs. In essence, we are very\ngrateful and greatly assisted,\u201d said Yunita.<\/p>\n
At the end of the conversation, Yunita hoped that the JKN programme\nwould continue sustainably for future generations.<\/p>\n
