The Joglosemarkerto train derailed at the Gowok crossing in Depok,\nSleman, this afternoon. The incident is suspected to have been caused by\nan earthquake that recently shook the southeastern region of Pacitan,\nEast Java.<\/p>\n

The derailment of the Joglosemarkerto train was shared by the\nInstagram account @jogjalife<\/span>, which reported that the train\nwheels moved off the tracks.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Joglosemarkerto train briefly derailed at the Gowok crossing,\nsuspected to be due to earthquake tremors in the Special Region of\nYogyakarta. The incident occurred precisely at the Gowok level crossing\non Saturday (27\/6\/2026). Based on initial information, the train was\npassing through that point when the strong tremors hit,\u201d the account\nwrote, as seen via detikJogja, Saturday (27\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe tremors were felt so intensely that they caused the train wheels\nto slightly exit the tracks. There was no collision with other vehicles,\ncrossing gate poles, or buildings alongside the tracks. As of now, there\nhave been no reports of injuries or fatalities among passengers.\nImmediately after the incident, the driver stopped the train and\nreported to the control centre,\u201d it continued.<\/p>\n

When confirmed, the Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 6 Jogja,\nFeni Novida Saragih, verified the incident. She stated that all train\nservices within the Daop 6 Jogja area were temporarily subject to\n\u2018Berhenti Luar Biasa\u2019 (BLB) \u2014 an extraordinary halt \u2014 to allow for\ninspections of infrastructure and facilities following the\nearthquake.<\/p>\n

KAI Daop 6 field teams immediately conducted a thorough inspection of\ninfrastructure and facilities, including bridges, tracks, and other\nsupporting components, as well as the condition of the train sets. Once\nthe field team declared all routes and tracks safe, all trains resumed\ntheir journeys.<\/p>\n
