Jaksa Fair is firmly establishing itself<br>\nas one cultural event in the city's annual agenda by going global<br>\nin its fourth year.<\/p>\n<p>Besides presenting Betawi (native Jakarta) cultures and art<br>\nperformances, this year's festival on Aug. 26 to Aug. 30 will<br>\npresent for the first time a foreign entry: art performances from<br>\nNew Zealand.<\/p>\n<p>There will also be contributions from other parts of Indonesia<br>\nduring the Pesta Jl. Jaksa 1997, the organizers said. These<br>\ninclude art performances by troupes from Ponorogo, East Java, and<br>\nGodang Batak, North Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p>Jl. Jaksa in Central Jakarta is famous for its inexpensive<br>\ninns for budget visitors from overseas.<\/p>\n<p>The fair's chief organizer, Fernando H. Theley, said the fair<br>\nwas aimed at promoting tourism in Indonesia and Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>A cultural parade will kick off the fair which will be<br>\nofficiated by Jakarta Governor Surjadi Soedirdja.
