Speaking from a class 3 ward at Sebening Kasih Hospital in Tayu while\naccompanying her father, Sukahar (57), Fira admitted that the JKN\nprogramme, facilitated by the local government, has provided her family\nwith peace of mind. Given her father\u2019s medical condition requires\nintensive handling, the family is no longer haunted by the fear of high\nmedical costs.<\/p>\n
\u201cBefore becoming a JKN participant, our greatest concern was the cost\nof treatment. Healthcare and hospital services are not cheap. After my\nfather was registered as a JKN participant by the Pati Regency\nGovernment, we felt much calmer because we are no longer burdened by\nmedical expenses when needing healthcare services,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy father has been undergoing treatment in the hospital for three\ndays, and we have experienced very good service. The doctors and\nhealthcare staff are very responsive, while the medicines and services\nprovided are entirely covered without any additional costs for us to\npay,\u201d Fuala stated.<\/p>\n
This experience has strengthened her belief that the JKN programme\nplays a vital role in providing health protection, especially for\neconomically disadvantaged groups.
