Jakarta (ANTARA) - The legal representatives of the 10th and 12th\nVice President of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla, visited the National Police\nHeadquarters to report Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar in a case of alleged\ndefamation against their client, who was accused of funding Roy Suryo\nand associates regarding the authenticity of the degree of the 7th\nPresident of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.<\/p>\n
Based on ANTARA observations, Jusuf Kalla\u2019s (JK) legal team arrived\nat the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) building of the\nNational Police in Jakarta on Monday at 10:10 WIB.<\/p>\n
JK\u2019s legal representative, Abdul Haji Talaohu, brought a bundle of\ndocuments to be submitted to the investigators at Bareskrim Polri.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival at the location, Abdul stated that JK was reporting the\nalleged defamation over accusations by Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar and\nseveral other names suspected of spreading false news through the\nYouTube platform.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday, we will file a police report. Not only for Mr Rismon, but\nthere are several others that we will also report,\u201d he said at the\nBareskrim Polri building in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n
Abdul emphasised that they were taking the report seriously because\nof Rismon\u2019s accusation against JK, who was alleged to have handed over\nRp5 billion to Roy Suryo and his associates.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe made statements, one of which mentioned that behind the movement\nquestioning Mr Jokowi\u2019s degree, there was an elite official, and in that\nregard, he mentioned that Mr JK handed over money to Roy and his\nassociates amounting to Rp5 billion, and he witnessed it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is why we are making this report today as a serious step to\nrespond and demand accountability for his clarification,\u201d he\ncontinued.<\/p>\n
\u201cMardiansyah Semar, Chairman of Rampai Nusantara, in a statement on\nYouTube, said that Mr JK no longer has the capacity or rational instinct\nfor power. There was a sentence accusing Mr JK of being a loser. If we\npull it together, his movement leads to unconstitutionality. This is\nhoax news,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, JK also reported two YouTube accounts, namely Musik Ciamis\nand Mosato TV, for alleged defamatory statements.<\/p>\n
JK\u2019s legal team reported Rismon\u2019s side under the defamation article,\nnamely Article 439 jo. Article 441 of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the new\nCriminal Code, as well as Article 27A jo. Article 45 of the ITE Law.<\/p>\n
