Former Vice President of Indonesia (10th and 12th) Jusuf Kalla (JK)\nhas officially reported Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar and two social media\naccounts to the National Police\u2019s Criminal Investigation Agency\n(Bareskrim Polri) over the dissemination of hoaxes and false news\nrelated to Jokowi\u2019s diploma.<\/p>\n
The report was submitted directly by JK to Bareskrim Polri on\nWednesday (8\/4) last week. The report was received and registered under\nnumber LP\/B\/135\/IV\/2026\/SPKT\/Bareskrim Polri.<\/p>\n
JK stated that he chose to report Rismon because the accusation of\nbeing a funder was deemed unethical and highly insulting to him as\nsomeone who had accompanied Jokowi as Vice President for five years.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am reporting Rismon Sianipar for his actions that I consider\nharmful to me because he said I funded Roy Suryo and his associates\nregarding Mr Jokowi\u2019s diploma,\u201d JK said after filing the report.<\/p>\n
\u201cHow could I pay someone Rp5 billion to investigate him? That is\ninappropriate and impossible for me to do. It is an insult and damages\nmy dignity,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
In addition to Rismon, JK also reported a YouTube account named\nStudio Musik Rock Ciamis and a Facebook account named 1922 Pusat\nMadiun.<\/p>\n
In the report, he also submitted several pieces of evidence in the\nform of video recordings of the accusations of him being the funder in\nthe Jokowi diploma case.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, JK assessed that Rismon only denied that the video\nwas not made by him directly. However, he said, Rismon did not deny the\nstatements in the video about him providing Rp5 billion to Roy Suryo and\nhis group.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe only said it was not him who did it, but he did not deny the\ncontent. He did not deny it,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
JK said he would consider not pursuing the legal process if Rismon\nhad denied the Rp5 billion funding issue from the outset. However, he\nsaid, Rismon did not do so.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf he denied that it was not true, that Mr JK gave Rp5 billion, gave\nmoney, there might be some benefit. But if he says it was AI, that means\nnothing to me,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
In addition to protesting against Rismon, JK also complained about\nthe prolonged resolution of the Jokowi fake diploma allegation case.<\/p>\n
According to JK, this diploma polemic has harmed many parties,\nincluding himself who has lost time by being dragged into this\nissue.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is causing unease in society, wasting time, harming Mr Jokowi,\nharming everyone; tens of billions of rupiah are spent on whether it\u2019s\nlawyers or like me, my time is lost, involved,\u201d he said to reporters on\nWednesday (8\/4).<\/p>\n
JK said the polemic not only has material impacts but also triggers\ndivisions in society due to the prolonged debate.<\/p>\n
