        "content": "<p>PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), together with the Directorate\nGeneral of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation and the DKI\nJakarta Provincial Government, is accelerating the final phase of\nconstruction for the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) Station. This\nstation is being prepared as a public transport access point to the\nnorthern Jakarta area.<\/p>\n<p>Construction progress up to April 2026 is proceeding according to\ntarget. Completion is set for May 2026, with operations commencing in\nJune 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe presence of this station will provide significant benefits to\nthe community in directly accessing sports and residential areas, while\nalso serving as an effective solution to reduce traffic congestion,\u201d\nsaid KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication Anne Purba in an\nofficial statement on Sunday (12\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, the number of users was recorded at 1,599,107 people. This\nfigure rose to 2.6 million in 2023, then 3.3 million in 2024. The number\nof users increased again to 3.5 million in 2025. From January to March\n2026, it recorded 873,658 users.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis significant growth in KRL service users demonstrates that train\nservices are increasingly becoming the primary choice,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKAI, together with DJKA of the Ministry of Transportation, KAI\nCommuter, and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, continues to\nsynergise to ensure the construction of JIS Station becomes the answer\nto the need for better intermodal integration in Jakarta,\u201d Anne\ncontinued.<\/p>\n<p>Service enhancement is also supported by infrastructure improvements.\nKAI, along with DJKA of the Ministry of Transportation, is carrying out\nelectrification and double-track construction along 8.115 kilometres\nbetween Jakarta Kota and Tanjung Priok.<\/p>\n<p>These improvements enhance the reliability of services on the\nnorthern line.
