PT Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) distributed 40
sacrificial animals for Eid al-Adha 1447 AH/2026 to local communities,
social groups, and various supporting stakeholders in the Tanjung Priok
Port area, North Jakarta.

JICT Managing Director Ade Hartono said sustainable port operations
require harmonious relationships between logistics activities, the
social environment, and surrounding stakeholders.

“Ports and communities grow in the same space. Therefore, the
sustainability of logistics areas depends not only on operational
smoothness but also on the quality of relationships built with local
communities and stakeholders,” Hartono said in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The distribution focused on ring 1 communities, social and education
partner communities, worker groups, and institutions within the port
ecosystem.

For JICT, the qurban distribution is not merely an annual event but
part of efforts to maintain healthy relations between the national
strategic industrial area and surrounding communities.

“Eid al-Adha reminds us of the values of sharing and solidarity. In
the port context, these values are reflected through mutually
reinforcing relationships between the port, communities, and all
operational support elements,” Hartono said.

JICT’s qurban distribution covers the Tanjung Priok surrounding
communities, social and partner groups, and port-supporting
institutions. The entire distribution process was coordinated and
administratively finalised to ensure orderly, targeted delivery in line
with Pelindo Group coordination.

As a key node in Indonesia’s international trade, JICT views the
port’s role as not only facilitating cargo flows and logistics
connectivity but also fostering a stable, harmonious environment with
strong social support.

“This year’s Eid al-Adha provided JICT with an opportunity to
maintain harmony between port operations and surrounding community
life,” Hartono added.
",
