        "content": "<p>Jet moved from runway<\/p>\n<p>MANILA (AFP): A crippled China Airlines Boeing 747 jet, whose<br>\nlanding gear collapsed on the runway of the international airport<br>\nhere, was removed from the runway yesterday, enabling the airport<br>\nto resume operations, an official said.<\/p>\n<p>Rodolfo Dimaano, airport assistant general manager, said<br>\nworkers were still clearing mud and debris from the runway but<br>\nthat he had recommended the airport be reopened by 5:00 pm (0900<br>\nGMT) yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The jet was taxiing on the runway on Tuesday when its landing<br>\ngear collapsed, blocking the runway and forcing the closure of<br>\nthe airport to flights.<\/p>\n<p>Airport operations terminal officer Joseph Agustin said about<br>\n50 incoming and outgoing flights were cancelled on Tuesday and<br>\nyesterday due to the problem.<\/p>\n<p>Dimaano said the damaged jet had been towed to a parking apron<br>\nwhere it will be serviced.<\/p>",
