        "content": "<p>Jeremy's case file declared complete<\/p>\n<p>Abdul Khalik, The Jakarta Post\/Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>A Singaporean suspected of theft, Tang Khen Seng, 32, alias<br>\nJeremy, was moved to the Jakarta prosecutor's office on Friday<br>\nafter his case file was declared complete.<\/p>\n<p>City Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Tjiptono said investigators<br>\nhad sent Jeremy to the Jakarta prosecutors's office upon<br>\nreceiving a letter stating that his case file was already<br>\ncomplete.<\/p>\n<p>\"We finished his case file prior to his escape. We don't need<br>\nto keep him here any longer. The faster he is transferred the<br>\nbetter for us,\" said Tjiptono.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the intelligence unit at the Jakarta Prosecutor's<br>\nOffice confirmed on Friday that his office had Jeremy in custody<br>\npending trial.<\/p>\n<p>\"We have him here. We are now preparing indictments against<br>\nhim. We hope he can be tried within a week,\" Farried told The<br>\nJakarta Post.<\/p>\n<p>He did not say where Jeremy was detained.<\/p>\n<p>Jeremy was first arrested last Dec. 7 following allegations<br>\nthat he had broken into lockers located in spa areas of several<br>\nfive-star hotels in the capital.<\/p>\n<p>However, he managed to get out of police detention after<br>\nallegedly bribing five guards on duty. The five have been<br>\ndetained for questioning.<\/p>\n<p>After several days on the run, Jeremy was arrested again last<br>\nTuesday evening by local police at the Conrad Hotel in Denpasar,<br>\nBali while allegedly trying to steal guest personal belongings in<br>\nthe hotel's locker room.<\/p>\n<p>Upon his arrival from Denpasar on Wednesday, Jeremy told<br>\nseveral TV stations that police guards offered him a way to<br>\nescape in exchange for money.<\/p>\n<p>Tjiptono denied allegations that the police's move in quickly<br>\ntransferring Jeremy to prosecutors was aimed at shifting public<br>\nattention from the alleged bribery of the five police guards.<\/p>\n<p>\"We continue to detain and question them. However, we haven't<br>\nfound any evidence to prove that they received bribes,\" said<br>\nTjiptono.<\/p>",
