        "content": "<p>A member of the Jember DPRD who was caught playing games and smoking\nduring a meeting has been sanctioned with a severe reprimand.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ANTARA\/Bagus Ahmad Rizaldi<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Jakarta, VIVA \u2013 The Gerindra Party\u2019s Honorary Council has issued a\nsevere and final reprimand to member of Commission D of the DPRD, Achmad\nSyahri Assidiqi, following his behaviour of playing games and smoking\nduring a Hearing Meeting (RDP).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are issuing a severe and final reprimand to Mr.\u00a0Ahmad Syahri\nAs-Siddiq, a member of the Gerindra Party faction in the Jember Regency\nDPRD,\u201d said the chairman of the session, Fikrah Auliurrahman, while\nreading the verdict at the Gerindra Party\u2019s DPP (Central Executive\nBoard), Jakarta, Friday, May 15, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He added that Ahmad will immediately be given the sanction of\ndismissal as a member of the Jember DPRD if he repeats the\nviolation.<\/p>\n<p>In its consideration, Yunico S, as a member of the Honorary Council,\nstated that Achmad was proven to have violated Article 16, paragraph 2\nof the party\u2019s constitution regarding the rules of upholding the name\nand honour of the Gerindra Party.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Achmad was also deemed to have violated Article 16,\nparagraph 3 of the constitution, regarding upholding the party\u2019s\narticles of association and bylaws as well as the applicable regulations\nof the Gerindra Party.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Achmad also violated Article 67, paragraph 5, regarding\nthe oath of cadres to submit and obey the party\u2019s ideology and\ndiscipline, as well as to maintain the party\u2019s honour, dignity, and\nsolidarity.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the Honorary Council assessed that Achmad violated Article\n68 regarding the Identity of Party Cadres, stating that in their daily\nlives and behaviour, they will always act politely, disciplined, and\nhumbly.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, a video recording circulated showing a member of\nCommission D of the Jember DPRD, Ahmad Syahri As Sidiqi, caught smoking\nwhile playing a game on his cellphone while sitting in the meeting room\nof the Jember DPRD. The meeting was scheduled to discuss the issue of\nstunting in Jember Regency.<\/p>\n<p>The video then circulated on social media and was even reported by a\nnumber of mainstream media outlets. After the video went viral, Ahmad\nSyahri conveyed an apology for his behaviour.<\/p>",
