        "content": "<p>\u201cIt was only the first time (that I smoked and played games during a\nmeeting,\u201d Syahri told reporters after being questioned at the Gerindra\nDPP (Central Executive Board) in Ragunan, South Jakarta, on Friday (15\nMay 2026).<\/p>\n<p>Syahri admitted that he regretted his actions. He also apologised and\npromised not to repeat the behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was just a lapse in judgement on my part as an ordinary human\nbeing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI deeply regret what I did and I will not repeat it,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stern Warning Sanction<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Previously, the Gerindra Party\u2019s Honour Council had issued a sanction\nto Achmad Syahri as one of its members. The sanction was a stern warning\nand the final one, given because Achmad Syahri smoked and played games\nduring a meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The Gerindra Party\u2019s Honour Council read out the decision in a\nhearing held at the Gerindra DPP Office, Ragunan, South Jakarta, on\nFriday (15 May 2026). Syahri was found to have violated the party\u2019s\nAD\/ART (Articles of Association\/Party Regulations).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving considered the matter, we find that Brother Achmad Syahri\nAs-Siddiq, as a member of the Gerindra Party, has been proven to have\nviolated the Gerindra Party\u2019s AD\/ART,\u201d said the chairman of the hearing,\nFikrah Auliurrahman, while reading out the decision.<\/p>\n<p>In the decision, Fikra stated that Gerindra had issued a stern and\nfinal warning to Syahri. Gerindra stated that this should not happen\nagain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe issue a stern and final warning to Brother Achmad Syahri\nAs-Siddiq SE, a member of the Gerindra Party faction in the Jember\nRegency DPRD,\u201d he explained.
