        "content": "<p>REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA \u2013 Ahmad Syahri As Sidiqi, a member of the\nJember DPRD, who went viral for a video recording of him smoking and\nplaying games on his phone during a DPRD meeting in Jember, has admitted\nto regretting his behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed his apology and admitted to making a mistake when he did\nit in the middle of a formal meeting discussing the issue of stunting in\nJember.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, this was the first time he had done it. \u201cI am very\nsorry, very sorry for doing that and I will not repeat it,\u201d said Syahri\nafter attending a session of the Honorary Council of the DPP of the\nGerindra Party in Jakarta, Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Chairman of the DPC of the Gerindra Party in Jember\nRegency, Ahmad Halim, said that the DPRD of Jember Regency is also in\nthe process of holding an ethics hearing against Syahri. His party is\nalso waiting for a decision from the Jember DPRD.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Gerindra Party\nhad also imposed a sanction in the form of a final stern warning to\nSyahri.
