        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) remains tight-lipped\nregarding the selection process for its 2026-2030 board of directors,\ncurrently under review by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).<\/p>\n<p>Interim CEO Jeffrey Hendrik declined to comment further when asked\nabout potential candidates for the exchange\u2019s leadership positions. It\nis worth noting that Jeffrey is among the candidates for BEI\u2019s board of\ndirectors.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Oh no comment, no comment, no comment,\u2019 Jeffrey said at BEI\u2019s office\nin Jakarta on Monday (25 May 2026).<\/p>\n<p>He added that the OJK\u2019s selection process is expected to produce the\nbest candidates to lead the capital market in the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Just follow the entire process. Whoever is chosen will surely be\ngood for the exchange\u2019s future, so just follow the process,\u2019 he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>OJK has conducted fit and proper tests for BEI\u2019s 2026-2030 board\ncandidates. The process began on Tuesday (12 May 2026) with the fit and\nproper test for the BEI CEO candidate. Subsequent tests will be\nconducted for other board candidate positions.<\/p>\n<p>On 13 May 2026, OJK will hold the fit and proper test for the BEI\nCorporate Valuation Director candidate. On 18 May 2026, similar tests\nwill be conducted for the Trading and Member Regulation Director\ncandidates.<\/p>\n<p>OJK\u2019s Executive Head of Capital Market, Derivatives and Carbon\nExchange Supervision, Hasan Fawzi, stated that the initial phase of the\nfit and proper test focuses on administrative checks and candidate\nevaluations.<\/p>\n<p>Candidate names will be announced only after the selection process is\ncomplete and the final candidates are officially decided.
