Jealousy provokes worker's killing<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Police have captured a South Jakarta resident
\nwho is believed to have killed a contract worker in a fit of
\njealousy.<\/p>\n
Maj. Tasmin, a spokesman for the city police, said the suspect
\nidentified as Nahrowi, 21, resident of Cilandak Barat
\nsubdistrict, South Jakarta, killed a contract worker identified
\nas Ilyas, 22, who hailed from Jember, East Java. According to
\npolice, the death occurred at around 8 p.m. on Monday.<\/p>\n
Ilyas was reportedly working for a developer building a luxury
\nhouse there.<\/p>\n
Police said that Nahrowi and Ilyas were involved in
\naltercation before the murder took place.<\/p>\n
Police believed that Nahrowi had deliberately angered the
\nvictim by nudging him with his elbow when they met at an alleyway
\nin the area. Nahrowi had long been jealous of Ilyas, as the
\ncontract worker was said to have been on "good terms" with the
\nsuspect's girlfriend.<\/p>\n
The slight collision reportedly led to a fight between the two
\nmen.<\/p>\n
Nahrowi, who was helped by a friend named Boy, stabbed Ilyas
\nin the chest and then fled, leaving the victim to bled to death
\nat the scene.<\/p>\n
Nahrowi was captured early yesterday morning in his hideout in
\nSouth Jakarta while Boy is still at large. (jsk)<\/p>",
