Jealous cop's wife shoots husband<\/p>\n
BOGOR (JP): In an apparent fit of jealousy, a 32-year-old
\npoliceman's wife, Siti Jubaedah, shot her husband, Sgt. Maj.
\nSlamet Tunjang Suryanto, at the couple's house in Kedung Halang, North
\nBogor, in the small hours of Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Slamet was rushed to Kramatjati Police Hospital in East
\nJakarta for gunshot injuries to his abdomen and back.<\/p>\n
An officer at the Brimob dormitory said the couple had been
\nengaged in an overnight quarrel before the incident took place.<\/p>\n
Siti was reportedly upset because her husband frequently came
\nhome drunk, with a scent of perfume on his uniform.<\/p>\n
The couple fought until about midnight before Siti took a
\nrevolver and shot her husband from a distance of about 1.5
\nmeters, the officer said.<\/p>\n
The bullet hit the left side of Slamet's abdomen and went
\nthrough his back.<\/p>\n
"Slamet then fell to the floor and his wife started screaming
\nfrantically," the policeman, who asked not to be named, said.<\/p>\n
Slamet was rushed to Kramatjati Hospital from his home in the
\nNational Police's Mobile Brigade (Brimob) compound at about 4
\na.m. on Wednesday after being treated at Salak Hospital in Bogor.<\/p>\n
