        "content": "<p>The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed weaker on Monday\n(10\/8\/2026), after briefly moving in positive territory at the start of\ntrading.<\/p>\n<p>The IHSG closed at 6,365.37, down 44.28 points or 0.69% from the\nprevious close.<\/p>\n<p>The IHSG had strengthened and touched an intraday high of 6,462.74\ntoday. However, the index then reversed course to reach a low of\n6,362.76.<\/p>\n<p>Trading data showed 306 stocks advanced, while 340 stocks declined\nand 317 others were unchanged.<\/p>\n<p>Total trading volume reached 45.25 billion shares with a transaction\nvalue of Rp18.09 trillion. Trading frequency was recorded at around 2.60\nmillion transactions.<\/p>\n<p>A number of large-capitalisation stocks were the main drags on the\nIHSG today. PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) weighed by 9.39\npoints. It was followed by PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) at\n6.12 points, and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) at 3.69\npoints.<\/p>\n<p>PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) exerted pressure of 2.95 points, while\nPT Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya Tbk (SRAJ) contributed pressure of 2.27\npoints.<\/p>\n<p>Other stocks that also weighed on the IHSG included PT Chandra Asri\nPacific Tbk (TPIA) at 2.14 points, PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT)\nat 1.77 points, PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR) at 1.39 points,\nPT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk (PTRO) at 1.36 points, and PT Mora\nTelematika Indonesia Tbk (MORA) at 1.04 points.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, a number of stocks still managed to provide\npositive contributions. PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA) was the\nlargest support with a contribution of 3.37 points, followed by PT\nMerdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) at 2.37 points and PT United Tractors Tbk\n(UNTR) at 1.76 points.<\/p>\n<p>PT Arkora Hydro Tbk (ARKO) contributed 1.60 points and PT Garuda\nIndonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) contributed 1.41 points.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, pressure on the IHSG was reflected in the majority of\nsectors ending in the red.<\/p>\n<p>The utilities sector was the deepest decliner, down 2.61%. It was\nfollowed by healthcare, which fell 1.41%, and primary consumer goods,\nwhich weakened 1.08%.<\/p>\n<p>The technology sector fell 0.72%, raw materials weakened 0.60%,\nproperty declined 0.36%, and financials corrected 0.21%.<\/p>\n<p>Amid the IHSG decline, foreign investors recorded a net buy of\nRp393.71 billion in the first trading session.<\/p>\n<p>Total foreign transactions in that period consisted of foreign buys\nof Rp3.32 trillion and foreign sells of Rp2.93 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>The stocks most sought after by foreign investors in the first\nsession included DSSA with a net buy of around Rp216.46 billion, MDKA at\nRp62.70 billion, TINS at Rp35.79 billion, PSAB at Rp30.20 billion, and\nBBCA at Rp28.38 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Conversely, the stocks most sold by foreign investors were TPIA with\na net sell of around Rp244.77 billion, followed by BMRI at Rp212.57\nbillion and BBRI at Rp97.13 billion.<\/p>",
