        "content": "<p>The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) rose sharply following a correction\nat the start of the week. The JCI strengthened by 3.39% or 236.13\npoints, breaking through the 7,207.16 level during the first trading\nsession on Wednesday, 8 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The JCI immediately jumped to 7,162 at market open, then gradually\nreached an intraday high of 7,210. Trading value was recorded at Rp12.99\ntrillion, daily trading volume reached 266.59 million shares, and the\nnumber of transactions by investors totalled 1.44 million.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis strengthening occurred alongside positive catalysts, namely the\nagreement on a ceasefire between the United States (US) and Iran in the\nnext two weeks,\u201d stated the Phintraco Sekuritas Analysis Team in its\ndaily research on Wednesday, 8 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>All stock sectors shone, led by a 7.18% rise in the basic materials\nsector. The industrial sector rose 4.36%, the cyclical consumer sector\nstrengthened 3.78%, and the infrastructure sector jumped 3.45%.<\/p>\n<p>The energy sector increased 3.24%, the property sector rose 2.73%,\nthe financial sector gained 2.43%, the technology sector rose 2.14%, the\nenergy sector soared 2.05%, the non-cyclical consumer sector increased\n1.67%, and the health sector rose 1.01%.<\/p>\n<p>From a technical perspective, Phintraco Sekuritas analysts assessed\nthat the JCI still shows positive signals following the breakout of the\npsychological resistance at the 7,100 level. Support from the MACD\nindicator, which is starting to form a positive histogram, and the\nstochastic RSI moving upwards.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe collaboration of recent fundamentals with the occurring\ntechnicals leads us to predict that the JCI has the potential to move\nstably with a tendency to strengthen in the 7,200 area in the next\ntrading session,\u201d according to the projection from the Phintraco\nSekuritas Analysis Team.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Phintraco Sekuritas also reported several issuers with\nthe highest price jumps among the leading stocks (LQ45).
