Jaya group, Lloyd form new firm<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The Pembangunan Jaya Group has set up a joint
\nventure company with Lloyd's Register of Britain.<\/p>\n
The new firm offers consulting services designed to assist
\nIndonesian companies in attaining the internationally recognized
\nmanagement system stipulated by the ISO 9000 certificates.<\/p>\n
\"Lloyd's Register holds a 60 percent stake in the joint
\nventure, while PT Capitol Mutual Corporation, a subsidiary of the
\nJaya Group, owns the remaining 40 percent,\" Peter Holland,
\npresident of the new company, told reporters here yesterday
\nduring the launching ceremony.<\/p>\n
The new company, called PT Lloyd's Register Advisory Services
\nIndonesia (LRASI), has working capital of US$400,000 for the
\ninitial stage of operation.<\/p>\n
Holland explained yesterday that LRASI's services can be
\nutilized by various companies of different sizes and by
\nindustries.<\/p>\n
\"Needless to say, ISO 9000 is the required ticket for firms to
\njoin the global market,\" he said, adding that the joint venture
