Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Indonesia Belarus Jaya, under the umbrella of\nJaya Group, is targeting increased trade between Indonesia and Belarus\nthrough business collaborations with several companies from Belarus.<\/p>\n
The CEO of Jaya Group, Tomy Suhartanto, said that the company was\nformed to support bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Belarus\nthrough concrete steps in the trade and industry sectors.<\/p>\n
\u201cPT Indonesia Belarus Jaya is a company established under the\nauspices of Holding Jaya Group. Its focus and concern are to directly\nsupport and take real action to support bilateral cooperation between\nIndonesia and Belarus,\u201d said Tomy in Jakarta on Saturday.<\/p>\n
According to him, the collaboration aims to optimise the potential of\ncommodities from both countries so that they can be absorbed and\nutilised by each other\u2019s markets.<\/p>\n
He mentioned that Indonesian commodities with the potential to be\naccepted in the Belarusian market include cocoa and palm oil.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, products from Belarus that are considered to have the\npotential to be used in Indonesia include dairy, cables and wires, and\nfertilisers.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur concern in this collaboration process is essentially to optimise\nall the potential that exists between the two countries,\u201d said Tomy.<\/p>\n
PT Indonesia Belarus Jaya has signed a business memorandum of\nunderstanding with several Belarusian companies, namely OJSC Minsk Dairy\nPlant No.\u00a01, Energi Complekt, OJSC Dolomite, and Belindo Trade.<\/p>\n
The signing of the cooperation took place in conjunction with the 8th\nJoint Commission Meeting between Indonesia and Belarus on Economic\nCooperation in Minsk, Belarus on Friday (August 15).<\/p>\n
The joint commission meeting was marked by the signing of Agreed\nMinutes by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of\nIndonesia Airlangga Hartarto and Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Viktor\nKarankevich.<\/p>\n
The Indonesian and Belarusian governments discussed several areas of\ncooperation in the meeting, including trade, investment, industry,\nagriculture and food security, forestry, banking, health, education,\nscience and technology, culture, sports, and tourism.<\/p>\n
In addition to the PT Indonesia Belarus Jaya collaboration, a\nmemorandum of understanding was also carried out between PT Pupuk\nIndonesia (Persero) and Nedra Nezhin. The total value of the five\nbusiness commitments from the memorandum of understanding reached IDR 7\ntrillion.<\/p>\n
According to Tomy, the signing of international business cooperation\nis not only for business interests but also to support the government\u2019s\nstrategic agenda in strengthening economic relations between Indonesia\nand Belarus.<\/p>\n
In addition, the collaboration is also expected to increase\ncompetitiveness in the domestic market through the entry of competitive\nproducts.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe purpose of us making this international business agreement is\nnot only to support the government\u2019s program but also to provide\ncompetitive advantages in the Indonesian market,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto also\nsaid that the agreements reached in the joint commission meeting need to\nbe translated into concrete steps that have a direct impact on improving\neconomic relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Tomy is optimistic that economic relations between\nIndonesia and Belarus will continue to develop in the future as\nopportunities for trade and industrial cooperation open up in various\nstrategic sectors.<\/p>\n
