        "content": "<p>Central Java Regional Secretary Sumarno officially launched the\nJasirah Heritage Cycling 2026 event at the Bank Indonesia Central Java\nRepresentative Office on Saturday (20\/6\/2026). The cross-destination\nheritage cycling activity is an effort to introduce the province\u2019s\ntourism potential while simultaneously boosting regional economic\ngrowth.<\/p>\n<p>The route connects a series of historical sites, including Kota Lama\nSemarang, Lawang Sewu, Benteng Willem II Ungaran, Benteng Fort Willem I\nAmbarawa, the Ambarawa Railway Museum, the Diponegoro Museum, Mendut\nTemple, Pawon Temple, and the Borobudur area in Magelang.<\/p>\n<p>Sumarno stated that tourism plays a strategic role in increasing\nvisits from people outside the region, which in turn impacts economic\ngrowth. He emphasised that the provincial government continues to\nencourage collaboration with various parties, including Bank Indonesia,\nto develop the sector. \u201cOur economic growth is largely supported by\nconsumption, so attracting visitors from outside Central Java is\nimportant, and one way is through tourism,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Bank Indonesia Central Java Representative Office,\nMohamad Noor Nugroho, explained that Jasirah Heritage Cycling adopts a\nhistorical tourism concept to help the public become more familiar with\nthe wealth of heritage destinations in Central Java. The activity is\nalso expected to provide economic benefits for communities and micro,\nsmall, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) around tourist areas.
